struct ManifestDiff {
current: SnapshotRef,
parent_sequence: i64,
added: Vec<ManifestFile>,
removed: Vec<ManifestFile>,
unchanged: Vec<ManifestFile>,
}Expand description
Manifests are immutable, so a manifest path present in both manifest lists contributes the
same entries to both snapshots and never needs to be read for the diff itself. The list-level
first_row_id of an inherited data manifest may still be assigned after a V2 to V3 upgrade.
parent is the range base and current the range target. Snapshots strictly inside the
range are not opened: only the live files of the two ends define the net change, so a file
added and removed within the range produces no task.
File-level semantics assume the writer invariants: a data-file path is live at most once per snapshot and has at most one live delete artifact. Only the manifests read here are checked.
Fields§
§current: SnapshotRef§parent_sequence: i64§added: Vec<ManifestFile>In current manifest-list order.
removed: Vec<ManifestFile>In parent manifest-list order.
unchanged: Vec<ManifestFile>In current manifest-list order.
Implementations§
Source§impl ManifestDiff
impl ManifestDiff
async fn load( binding: &IcebergUpdateBinding, table: &Table, cursor: &IcebergUpdateCursor, ) -> ConnectorResult<Self>
Sourcefn is_compaction(&self) -> bool
fn is_compaction(&self) -> bool
A range containing a compaction contains only that snapshot.
fn current_sequence(&self) -> i64
Sourceasync fn validate(
&self,
binding: &IcebergUpdateBinding,
table: &Table,
) -> ConnectorResult<()>
async fn validate( &self, binding: &IcebergUpdateBinding, table: &Table, ) -> ConnectorResult<()>
Pure compaction emits nothing, but its changed manifests must still be supported.
